چکیده
Introduction: The C-MAC D-blade was designed for difficult airway intubation scenarios. To facilitate easier and faster endotracheal in the laryngoscopy paradox, an introducer is preferred. Hence, we decided to conduct a study compare 60˚ angled stylet gum elastic bougie as aids while using laryngoscope simulated setting. Objective: ease of oral with use (60˚ stylet) versus performed over inserted guidance patients restricted cervical mobility. Methods: Prospective, randomized controlled single-center study. Intubation 48 surgical randomly assigned 2 groups 24 each: Stylet group, Group S (using Bougie B bougie) after providing manual in-line stabilization restrict Mann-Whitney U test Chi square were used applicable. Results: resulted (Group 75% vs. 16.7%) 26.83 ± 8.61s 47.18 16.46s) fewer attempts compared group B. Both experienced similar hemodynamic stress response intubation. Conclusions: more effective time-saving aid bougie.

Comparison between bougies and stylets for simulated tracheal intubation with the C-MAC D-blade videolaryngoscope.
BACKGROUND The C-MAC D-blade is a new, highly angulated, videolaryngoscope blade designed for use in patients with difficult airways. Directing a tracheal tube into the trachea with any indirect viewing laryngoscope can be difficult, even with a good view of the laryngeal inlet. OBJECTIVE To determine which introducing strategy is most suitable for use with the C-MAC D-blade videolaryngoscope...
متن کاملComparison of the C-MAC D-Blade, Conventional C-MAC, and Macintosh Laryngoscopes in Simulated Easy and Difficult Airways.
OBJECTIVE Recently, to further enhance the potential in the management of difficult airways, the highly angulated D-Blade was added to the C-MAC system. The purpose of this study was to investigate the laryngoscopic view and intubation parameters using the new C-MAC D-Blade in comparison to the conventional C-MAC video laryngoscope and Macintosh direct laryngoscope in simulated easy and difficu...
متن کامل[Comparison of different stylets used for intubation with the C-MAC D-Blade® Videolaryngoscope: a randomized controlled study].
OBJECTIVE The angle of the C-MAC D-Blade® videolaryngoscope, which is used for difficult airway interventions, is not compatible with routinely used endotracheal tubes. METHODS A prospective randomized crossover study was performed comparing five intubation methods for use with standardized airways, including using different stylets or no stylet: Group HS, hockey-stick stylet; Group DS, D-bla...
متن کاملAssessment of Truflex™ articulating stylet versus conventional rigid Portex™ stylet as an intubation guide with the D-blade of C-Mac™ videolaryngoscope during elective tracheal intubation: study protocol for a randomized controlled trial
BACKGROUND A variety of videolaryngoscopes with angulated blade have been recently introduced into clinical practice. They provide an indirect view of the glottic structures in normal and challenging clinical settings. Despite the very good visualization of the laryngeal structures by these devices, the insertion and advancement of the endotracheal tube may be prolonged and occasionally fail as...
متن کاملNasopharyngeal tube placement in emergency intubated patients with decreased consciousness with a new guidewire: a prospective randomized controlled trial
Background: There is some demand for nasogastric tube insertion in unconscious or ICU patients. Nasogastric tubes are generally made of flexible plastic materials, prone to twisting and deviation by the tracheal tube, when passing through the pharynx and esophageal opening, making it difficult to insert the NG-tube properly. We hypothesized that NG-tube insertion with help of guidewire can sign...
